Tangerang - Entering the beginning of 2019, PT Angkasa Pura II (Persero) is recorded to have served up to 115 million passengers during January-December 2018. When compared to 2017, which was 105 million passengers, the number of passengers increased by 9.5% per year.


Achievements throughout 2018 along with the transformation step towards "Angkasa Pura II Giant Dream 2020" with the theme RKAP 2018 Airports Grow Faster 2018 through 3 (three) main programs namely Accelerated Revenue Growth, On Becoming 1 Million Aircraft Movements and Implementation of Digital Journey Experience throughout airport of PT Angkasa Pura II (Persero).


During 2018, PT Angkasa Pura II (Persero) has managed several new airports spread across Indonesia such as Kertajati West Java International Airport, Tjilik Riwut Palangkaraya Airport and Banyuwangi Airport in East Java. Total AP II has managed 16 airports in all regions of Indonesia.


Maximum service is always provided by PT Angkasa Pura II (Persero) through managed airports, during 2018, corporations participate in holding cross-country events such as being Official Supplier in the 2018 Asian Games and Asian Para Games 2018 through airport facilities and officers who are always ready to help athletes and officials.


The positive incisions obtained by Angkasa Pura II management continued on international achievements. Husein Sastranegara International Airport was ranked 3rd in the Airport Service Quality Award 2018 in the category of Best Airport with a capacity of 2-5 million passengers per year. Followed by 2018 Stevie Awards where Angkasa Pura II won 3 awards including Gold Stevie Winner for i-Perform application, Silver Stevie Winner for Chairman of the Year Category, Bronze Stevie Winner for Indonesia Airports Apps application. Stevie Award is the highest business award event in the world with the mission of giving appreciation to the achievements of the company's performance. Not only that, Angkasa Pura II also received several awards at the Asia Pacific Stevie Awards. For Silver Stevie Winner, the Award for Innovation in Technology Management, Planning & Implementation category was given to Airport Operation Control Center and the Award for Innovation in Customer Service Management, Planning & Practice category was given to Airport Terminal Helper at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport.


Also in 2018, positive achievements were also made by the Soekarno-Hatta International Airport. The largest airport in Indonesia has been named the airport with the connection of the most or most connected 2nd scheduled flights in the Asia Pacific and the 10th connected in the world beating major airports such as Incheon-Korea Airport, KLIA Malaysia and Hongkong Airport based on 2018 Megahubs International Index -The World's Most Internationally Connected Airports issued by the British air travel intelligence agency, OAG.

Soekarno-Hatta International Airport receives 3 stars, while Kualanamu International Airport, Sultan Mahmud International Airport Badaruddin II Palembang, and Sultan Syarif Kasim II Pekanbaru International Airport received 4 stars.


In terms of service to service users, PT Angkasa Pura II (Persero) develops digital mobile, namely the Indonesia Airport App application which is a digital service application that will help passengers to easily get information related to facilities at the Airport managed by AP II . There is a Self-Baggage Drop Check-In and Mobile Assistant Check-In facilities at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport. The presence of the Airport Digital Lounge which is a One-Stop Service information service for passengers.


In addition, the construction of the Airport Operation Control Center (AOCC) as a control center for airport operations has also been completed. The presence of the AOCC further facilitates airport operators to perform the functions of smooth operation of terminal operations, both on the land and the air side. This is because the AOCC is the center of coordination of all airport stakeholders such as airlines, immigration, customs and excise, quarantine, airport authorities, police, cargo operators, etc. Furthermore, to further complement the terminal supervision side, a Terminal Operation Center (TOC) was built at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport and Halim Perdanakusuma Airport which were able to maximize services such as quick response, early warning system detection and operating effectiveness at the airport.
