REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - PT Angkasa Pura (AP) II (Persero) prepares health innovation services at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport. AP II President Director Muhammad Awaluddin said retail services in the healthcare segment were prepared to support passengers during the Covid-19 pandemic.
"In principle, we want that personal protective equipment such as masks, hand sanitizers, face shields, and antiseptic mouthwashes can be easily obtained at AP II airports," Awaluddin said in a written statement, Monday (6/15) night.
The first service provided is a vending machine to market personal protective equipment (PPE) such as masks, face shields, mouth antiseptics, and gloves. Then the second service is a digital wayfinding or digital map machine at the passenger terminal which functions as an e-commerce media for PPE and drug ordering.
"As many as 21 digital wayfinding will be enhanced from the current function, showing areas in the terminal can also be used for ordering PPE or drugs, and then delivered to the customer," Awaluddin explained.
He ensured that currently AP II was still coordinating this matter with the health or pharmaceutical facility providers. That way later can jointly provide this health service at the airport.
Meanwhile, the third service, the health center which is a place for prospective aircraft passengers, can conduct rapid tests or PCR tests. It also provided medical check-up services and health products.
"The health center is the result of the collaboration of AP II, the airline and the Port Health Office of the Ministry of Health to reduce the risk of the spread of Covid-19 through tests conducted on aircraft passengers," Awaluddin said.
Awaluddin said the three health services will soon be launched in the near future at Soekarno-Hatta Airport. Awaluddin said he did not rule out that the service would also be provided at other airports managed by AP II.
