Angkasa Pura II which required all airport staff to use cloth masks

KONTAN.CO.ID - TANGERANG. PT Angkasa Pura II requires all airport officials to use cloth masks as an effort to prevent the spread of the corona virus.

PT Angkasa Pura II President Director Muhammad Awaluddin said the policy was a follow-up to President Joko Widodo's direction, asking everyone to wear masks when leaving the house.

"PT Angkasa Pura II personnel at 19 airports serving from today have begun to use cloth masks," Awaluddin said in a written statement received by, Tuesday (04/07/2020).

The cloth masks are used by personnel who support airport operations such as aviation security (Avsec), terminal inspection services, customer service, cleaning services, apron movement control, to office in charge.

"At the latest 1 x 24 hours in the future all personnel of PT Angkasa Pura at 19 airports have all used cloth masks," he said.

Awaluddin said, each PT Angkasa Pura II airport independently met the needs of cloth masks for its personnel. The specifications of the mask, among others, can be used for 4-5 hours.

The PT Angkasa Pura II airport with the highest number of operational personnel is Soekarno-Hatta International Airport.

During the period of operational restriction in the midst of the Covid-19 epidemic, the number of personnel in charge of supporting Soekarno-Hatta operations ranged from 700 to 900 people per day. (Singgih Wiryono)
