TANGERANG, - PT Angkasa Pura II (Persero) applies the concept of social restrictions or social distancing at several airports managed by the company to prevent Covid-19 transmission.

PT Angkasa Pura II President Director Muhammad Awaluddin said the implementation of social distancing was carried out by optimizing the space available in the terminal to create the recommended distance for aircraft passengers.

The application of social distancing is carried out in several areas of the airport, especially at the gathering place for aircraft passengers. Examples of the application of social distancing include the pasting of a number of yellow lines on the floor with a distance of 1 meter as a queue markers for aircraft passengers.

The yellow line is for example posted on the floor to the security check point (SCP), as well as on the fixed bridge and garbarata floors in order to separate the distance of passengers when waiting in line when boarding (boarding).

In addition, said Awaluddin, in each elevator at the passenger terminal also has been given a standing limit for each individual.

"When in the elevator, every individual is prohibited from meeting face to face or must face the walls and doors of the elevator," he said.

Do not forget, PT Angkasa Pura II restructured seats in the waiting room (boarding lounge) by prioritizing sufficient distance between passengers.

"The application of social distancing through the yellow line dividing the queue, then the standing limit in the elevator, and the rearrangement of seats in the boarding lounge has been implemented in our airports such as Soekarno-Hatta, Depati Amir Pangkalpinang, Supadio Pontianak, Kualanamu, Banyuwangi, and others. etcetera, "he said.

Awaluddin said, the application of social distancing in this terminal was the latest effort of PT Angkasa Pura II in preventing the spread of COVID-19, in addition to what had been done such as spraying disinfectant liquid, providing lots of hand sanitizers, checking the body temperature of passenger planes, and several other efforts.

"We are making various possible efforts to be implemented at airports so that the spread of COVID-19 can be prevented," Awaluddin concluded.
