TANGERANG –- PT Angkasa Pura II (Persero) during the Easter holiday 2018 has served 1,299,515 million passengers at all managed airports. The number has increased more than 10.8% compared to last year which only reached 1.171.903 million passengers. This increase is driven by a fairly long Easter holiday, from March 30 to April 1, 2018, resulting in a fairly high public interest to travel.
President Director of Angkasa Pura II Muhammad Awaluddin said that the company really appreciate the high public interest to travel on this Easter holiday, considering that in 2018 Angkasa Pura II has operated 15 airports, so it can provide maximum service for all airport service users managed by Angkasa Pura II.
The largest number of passengers came from Soekarno-Hatta International Airport which is the main airport of Angkasa Pura II with 776,630 passengers or an increase of 13% compared to the previous year that only reached 685.975 passengers which the favorite destinations are to Surabaya, Yogyakarta, Denpasar and Kualanamu.
Meanwhile, for the movement of aircraft increased approximately 11.6% to 9,738 movements this year compared to last year of about 8,729 movements.
Awaluddin add that it is Angkasa Pura II’s responsibility to give service excellent to all passengers. “Service is not only about improving facilities but also needs to see from safety and comfort points of view” closed Awaluddin.
In order to maximize service for all passengers who lived in East Java, Angkasa Pura II has established a Joint Operation (Kerja Sama Operasi) with PT Bandar Udara Internasional Jawa Barat (BIJB) on January 22nd 2018 to manage Kertajati Airport, the 15th airport that managed by Angkasa Pura II. Kertajati Airport is targeted for soft launching in May 2018 and in the future will be prepared to be able to serve Haj flight.
