Jakarta - Service and operational personnel at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport from today are equipped with tablets to serve aircraft passengers better and faster.
The tablet is used by Terminal Services (customer services), Aviation Security, and Safety, Risk & Quality Control personnel.
PT Angkasa Pura II (Persero) as the manager of Soekarno-Hatta International Airport called this program as a Digital Officer (with) Digital Device (DODD).
AP II President Director Muhammad Awaluddin said the DODD program made problems that arise suddenly in the field be resolved more quickly.
Furthermore, he said, the use of tablets at the operational level can make airports operate more effectively and efficiently.
"Equipped with tablets, personnel in the field will work faster to find solutions in resolving an issue," Muhammad Awaluddin said.
In addition, Digital Officer (with) Digital Device automatically enhances Millennial Airport Travel Experience (MATE) for airplane passengers at the airport which is one of the main programs of the corporation.
"About 60% of aircraft passengers at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport are millennials. Therefore, we must also apply appropriate service standards for millennials. We believe that personnel equipped with gadgets can bring Millennial Airport Travel Experience to the passengers of the aircraft, "explained Muhammad Awaluddin.
The tablets or gadgets used by personnel at the airport are equipped with all work support applications, i-Perform, i-Mate App, Flight Management Module, and other applications needed for operational processes.
The i-Perform application is specifically used by internal AP II to access various sectors such as commercial, financial, operational, and manage operational activities carried out by groups or business partners.
Meanwhile the i-Mate application, which stands for Mobile Airport Travel Experience, formerly known as Indonesia Airport, is a mobile application to provide more experience to aircraft passengers in traveling to and from AP II airports.
In the i-Mate application, airport visitors or airplane passengers can make a mobile check-in, view flight schedules, view public transportation schedules, find out commercial tenants at the airport, report lost goods or bags, to order special cinema seats in Terminal 3 of the International Airport Soekarno-Hatta.
Then, the Flight Management Module is information related to flights including when the aircraft is at the airport.
The Digital Officer (with) Digital Device Program is not only implemented at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, but in all airports managed by AP II with a total of 200 units.
