
PT Angkasa Pura II (Persero) is one of the State-Owned
Enterprises in the Ministry of Transportation engaging in
airport services and services related to airport- in Western
Indonesia.
Angkasa Pura II has earned the trust of the Government
of the Republic of Indonesia to manage and run the
business of the Jakarta Cengkareng Airport, which is now
the Jakarta Soekarno-Hatta International Airport and Halim
Perdanakusuma Airport, since 13 August 1984.
The existence of Angkasa Pura II began with the name
of Perum Pelabuhan Udara Jakarta Cengkareng by virtue
of Government Regulation No. 20 year 1984. Then on 19
May 1986 by the virtue of Government Regulation No.
26 year 1986 the name was changed to Perum Angkasa
Pura II. Subsequently, on 17 March 1992 by the virtue
of Government Regulation No. 14 year 1992 the status
was changed to a state-owned limited liability company
(Persero). As the company was run, on 18 November
2008, based on Notary Deed No. 38 Year 2008 of Notary
Silvia Abbas Sudrajat, SH, SpN. the name was officially
changed to PT Angkasa Pura II (Persero).
Angkasa Pura II was established to manage and run
the business of airport and airport-related services by
optimizing the potential of Company`s resources and the
implementation of good corporate governance practices.
And this, in turn, will generate products and services of
high quality and strong competitiveness so as to increase
the Company`s value and the public`s trust.
In its 29 years of being in business, Angkasa Pura II
showed rapid progress and improvement in the business
of airport services through the addition of various facilities
and infrastructures and the improvement in service quality
of the airports under its management.
Until 2013, Angkasa Pura II managed 12 Airports, namely
the Soekarno-Hatta (Jakarta), Halim Perdanakusuma
(Jakarta), Polonia (Medan), Supadio (Pontianak),
Minangkabau (Padang), Sultan Mahmud Badaruddin II
(Palembang), Sultan Syarif Kasim II (Pekanbaru), Husein
Sastranegara (Bandung), Sultan Iskandarmuda (Banda
Aceh), Raja Haji Fisabilillah (Tanjungpinang), Sultan Thaha
(Jambi) dan Depati Amir (Pangkalpinang). Angkasa Pura
II also provides flight information services for Jakarta`s
airspace (Flight Information Region/FIR).
During the last 5 (five) years, Angkasa Pura II achieved
various awards from several agencies. The awards
were a form of public`s appreciation to the Company`s
performance in its service. Some of the awards were
The Best BUMN in Logistics Sector from the Ministry
of State Owned Enterprise (2004-2006), The Best I in
Good Corporate Governance (2006), the 1st Rank in
the Annual Report Award 2007 in the category of BUMN
Non-Finance Non-Listed, and as Best and Trusted
BUMN in Good Corporate Governance in the Corporate
Governance Perception Index 2007 Award. At the end of
2009, Angkasa Pura II was again granted some awards
including the 1st rank of The Best Non Listed Company
by Anugerah Business review 2009, the World`s 2nd
Most on Time Airport for the Soekarno-Hatta Airport by
Forbestraveller.com, and the 3rd rank in the Annual Report
Award 2009 in the category of BUMN Non-Finance Non-
Listed.
As a State-Owned Enterprise, Angkasa Pura II has
always fulfilled its duty to give dividends to the State as
a shareholder. Angkasa Pura II has also been committed
to giving the best service and consumer protection to
the airport service users, implementing good corporate
governance practices, improving the welfare of its
employees and their families, and increasing social care
for the communities and environment around its airports
through its Corporate Social Responsibility programs.
